Sherie Rene Scott to Bring Solo Show Piece of Meat to London

Sherie Rene Scott’s Piece of Meat is crossing the Atlantic. The Tony nominee will bring her solo concert to the Matcham Room at the London Hippodrome for three nights only from February 21 through February 23. Scott earned raves for the show when it played at Broadway nightclub 54 Below in 2012.

Piece of Meat is a “hybrid live-performance experience” that mashes up storytelling and music, and features songs by Dire Straits, Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney, Peter Townshend, Annie Lennox and Buddy Holly. Todd Almond also contributed original compositions to the show.

Scott is well known to U.K. and U.S. audiences for her roles as Cathy in The Last Five Years, Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Amneris in Aida, Christine in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (for which she earned her first Tony nomination) and as the star of Everydary Rapture (which earned her a second Tony nod).

Sherie Rene Scott: Piece of Meat is directed by Lear deBessonet and features musical direction and arrangements by Almond and staging by Michele Lynch.
