One of the spring’s most anticipated new shows is Motown: The Musical, a brand new Broadway tuner that charts the career of music mogul Berry Gordy Jr., and his relationship with the legendary Diana Ross. Rehearsals for the soulful show began this week, and Broadway.com has an exclusive studio shot of Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (The Color Purple) and Valisia LeKae as 1980s-era Gordy and Ross, introduced here in full costume (and wigs!) for the first time. Fans of Gordy and Ross will definitely agree that Dixon and LeKae have no problem nailing the look of the music icons. This stylish, sexy duo will sing and dance their way through some of the Motor City’s greatest hits when they jump into action in Motown: The Musical, which begins previews at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 11.
