The inimitable Patti LuPone has a brand new treat for fans: Far Away Places: Live at 54 Below, a CD that preserves her electrifying concert of the same name at the theater district's hot new cabaret venue. Critics raved about the show, directed by Scott Wittman and featuring a juicy mix of songs by Kurt Weill, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter and more. Now Broadway Records and 54 Below have partnered to preserve the evening for posterity. On January 16, LuPone headed to Barnes & Noble on the Upper East Side to celebrate the release of Far Away Places at a performance and CD signing, and she showed off the CD in a Hot Shot before taking the stage. Congratulations, Patti!
