Weekend Poll Top Three: Fans Want Adam Pascal to Don Phantom's Iconic Mask

It’s Phantom Week on Broadway.com as the monumental musical celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary. So many fantastic actors have taken on the musical's menacing lead role over the years, and as the show continues to pack in crowds at the Majestic, we asked readers which Broadway leading man they'd like to see take on the Phantom of the Opera's title role. 1. Adam Pascal — 52%
The former Rent star has tackled some of Broadway’s toughest singing roles, including Memphis' Hock-a-doo-ing Huey and Cabaret's Master of Ceremonies. Pascal himself has even frequently expressed his interest to someday play the Phantom! 


2. Norm Lewis — 10%
Tony nominee Lewis has a baritone that could melt butter, and readers would love to see the Little Mermaid and Les Miz vet stir up trouble as of the world’s most famous opera ghost. Lewis is no stranger to Broadway romances, having recently headlined Porgy & Bess opposite Audra McDonald. 


3. Paulo Szot — 7%
It’s been almost five years since we last saw Szot on the Broadway stage in South Pacific, and what better role to welcome back the Tony winner than with another turn as a sexy man with a mysterious past?
