Tony Winner Adriane Lenox to Star in The Vagina Monologues at Bucks County Playhouse

Tony winner Adriane Lenox has signed on to join the cast of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues at Pennsylvania's Bucks County Playhouse. Karen Carpenter directs the limited engagement, which runs from February 13 through 17.

Lenox recently starred in Encores! production of the musical revue Cotton Club Parade. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Play Tony Award for her performance in Doubt. Lenox's other Broadway credits include Ain’t Misbehavin, Dreamgirls, Kiss Me, Kate, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Caroline or Change and Chicago. Her TV and film credits include Lipstick Jungle, Royal Pains, 30 Rock, Damages, Black Snake Moan and The Blind Side.

Based on interviews with a diverse group of women—from a Long Island antique dealer to a Bosnian refugee—The Vagina Monologues brazenly explores the humor, power, pain, wisdom, outrage, mystery and excitement hidden in vaginas.
