Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Thomas are expecting a baby. The news comes just as Baldwin is set to star as a father figure to two boys in the upcoming Broadway production of Orphans. Thomas has recently begun telling "only really close friends and family she is pregnant," according to In Touch Weekly.
The pair wed in June 2012 in New York City, and last year, the 30 Rock star told CNN's Piers Morgan that he was looking forward to having children with Thomas, who is a yoga instructor. “Have I thought about having more kids? Oh sure, that would be great, that would be heaven, that would be fantastic,” Baldwin told Morgan. Baldwin has a 16-year-old daughter, Ireland, with his ex-wife, actress Kim Basinger.
Orphans tells the story of two orphaned brothers living in a decrepit row house. Older brother Treat (Shia LaBouf) supports his damaged younger brother by petty thievery, and turns the house into a virtual prison for seemingly simple-minded Phillip (Tom Sturridge). But when Treat kidnaps Harold (Baldwin), the rich, older man becomes the father figure the two brothers have always hoped for. Lyle Kessler's play, directed by Daniel Sullivan, will run at the Schoenfeld Theatre beginning March 19. Opening night is set for April 7.
