Bill Pullman begins performances as Ian in Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway production of The Other Place on February 5. Written by Sharr White and starring Emmy winner and Tony nominee Laurie Metcalf, the psychological drama runs through March 3 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. The production also stars Zoe Perry and John Schiappa.
The Other Place tells the story of a neurologist (Metcalf) whose research leads to a potential breakthrough in Alzheimer treatment drugs. Just as it does, her life takes a disorienting turn. During a lecture to colleagues at an exclusive beach resort, she glimpses an enigmatic young woman in a yellow bikini amidst the crowd of business suits. One step at a time, a mystery unravels as contradictory evidence, blurred truth and fragmented memories collide in a cottage on the windswept shores of Cape Cod.
Pullman replaces original Broadway star Daniel Stern, who departed the production due to family reasons.
