Tickets are now available for Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of The Big Knife, starring two-time Tony nominee Bobby Cannavale. Written by Clifford Odete and directed by Doug Hughes, this classic Hollywood drama will play the American Airlines Theatre March 22 through June 2. Opening night is scheduled for April 16.
Set during the golden age of Hollywood, The Big Knife follows film star Charlie Castle (Cannavale), whose studio has been forced to cover up a mistake that could have ended his career. When a woman with insider knowledge threatens to come forward, the studio heads will stop at nothing to protect Charlie's secret. Charlie must decide to what lengths he's willing to go to before just quitting the business for good.
In addition to Cannavale, the production stars Rachel Brosnahan, Richard Kind, Marin Ireland, Ana Reeder, Joey Slotnick, Chip Zien, Adam Rapp, Reg Rogers, Brenda Wehle and Billy Eugene Jones.
The Big Knife includes set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by James F. Ingalls and sound and original music by David Van Tieghem.
