Darren Goldstein will join the cast of Manhattan Theatre Club's production of The Madrid beginning February 28. Goldstein will play Danny, replacing Christopher Evan Welch, who will leave the show to due to a professional commitment. The Liz Flahive play is set to run through April 21 at New York City Center – Stage I.
Starring Emmy winner and Tony nominee Edie Falco, The Madrid stars Frances Sternhagen, Phoebe Strole, John Ellison Conlee, Christopher Evan Welch, Heidi Schreck, Brooke Ashley Laine and Seth Clayton. Falco stars as Martha, a kindergarten teacher with a life many would desire, complete with a loving husband (Conlee) and devoted daughter, Sarah (Strole). When Martha decides to leave it all behind, it’s up to her daughter to pick up the pieces. Directed by Leigh Silverman directs.
