Between juggling a pregnant wife and those headline-making accusations of being a racist, Orphans star Alec Baldwin definitely had a plethora of talking points for David Letterman when he stopped by the Late Show on February 25. Somehow though the actor managed to skip over all the drama that recently went down at Orphans as his (now former) co-star Shia LaBeouf was shown the door. Nonetheless Baldwin charmed the audience throughout his 15 minute appearance, joking that the New York Post should receive the Pulitzer Prize for journalism in light of the recent controversy. And in spite of the Shia LaBeouf Twitter nightmare that unfolded last week, he described Orphans as having an “almost fairy tale quality”... but also conceded that it is “a very strange play.” Check out the full interview below, then see Orphans at the Schoenfeld Theatre beginning March 19!
