Tony winner Laura Benanti has plans for a fantastic return to New York once the first season of her NBC series Go On wraps. The actress will unveil her brand-new concert at 54 Below this May. Benanti will perform seven shows at the underground nightclub May 20 through May 25.
Benanti is the first actress in history to win a Tony Award for the role of Gypsy Rose Lee in the musical Gypsy. Her additional Broadway credits include The Sound of Music, Swing!, Into the Woods, Nine, The Violet Hour, The Wedding Singer, In the Next Room and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (for which she received an additional Tony nomination). In addition to Go On, she appeared on the TV shows The Big C, The Playboy Club, Eli Stone and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
