The hotly anticipated Second Stage revival of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years begins off-Broadway performances on March 7. Directed by Brown and starring Adam Kantor and Betsy Wolfe, the production will open officially on April 2. The Last Five Years is scheduled to play through April 28 at the Tony Kiser Theatre.
The Last Five Years follows Jamie (Kantor) and Cathy (Wolfe), two 20-something New Yorkers who fall head over heels in love—and out of it again—over the course of their five-year relationship. An emotionally honest and powerful story, the musical takes a bold look at the young couple's hope that love will endure the test of time.
The revival features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by John Weston. Thomas Murray serves as musical director.
