Les Misérables Earns Three MTV Movie Award Nominations; Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain & More Receive Nods

The Oscars may be over, but the Les Misérables movie isn't finished storming the barricades! The awards season favorite wracked up three MTV Movie Award nominations on March 5, including Best Female Performance for Oscar winner Anne Hathaway. Les Miz also earned nods for Breakthrough Performance (Eddie Redmayne) and Best Musical Moment.

Broadway veterans to also nab nominations include current Cat on a Hot Tin Roof star Scarlett Johansson (Best Fight for The Avengers), as well as potential Betrayal star Daniel Craig (Best Shirtless Performance and Best Fight for Skyfall).

The Heiress star Jessica Chastain earned a Best Scared-As-S**t Performance nod for her role as CIA officer Maya in Zero Dark Thirty. Bradley Cooper also earned nods for Best Male Performance, Best On-Screen Duo and Best Kiss (with Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence) for Silver Linings Playbook. Tony winner Denzel Washington is also a contender for Best WTF Moment for Flight.

Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson hosts the event, which will air live on April 14.
