Queen Jukebox Musical We Will Rock You to Launch U.S. National Tour

All right America, break out those lighters and get ready for a little "Bohemian Rhapsody." The popular West End musical We Will Rock You, which features the songs of Queen, will launch a U.S. national tour this October.

The tour kicks off at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, MD on October 15, where it will run through October 20. Following Baltimore, the show will hit Pittsburgh (Benedum Center for the Performing Arts, October 29-November 3), Minneapolis (Orpheum Theatre, November 19-24) and Miami (The Adrienne Arsht Center, December 10-15). 

With music and lyrics by Queen and a book and direction by Ben Elton, We Will Rock You is a jukebox musical about a young rebel named Galileo who tries to overtake a powerful corporation in a futuristic dystopia. The show features hit Queen songs including “We Are the Champions,” “Another One Bites the Dust” and “Somebody To Love.”

The London production opened on May 12, 2002 and continues to run at the West End's Dominon Theatre. The show also begins a worldwide arena tour on March 27, 2013.
