Motown: The Musical begins Broadway performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 11. The new show chronicles the life of Berry Gordy, Motown's legendary founder who launched the careers of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and more. With a book by Gordy himself, the musical features classic songs from the record label's famous catalogue. Opening night is set for April 14.
The production stars Brandon Victor Dixon as Gordy, Valisia LeKae as Diana Ross, Charl Brown as Smokey Robinson, Bryan Terrell Clark as Marvin Gaye and Raymond Luke Jr. and Jibreel Mawry as Young Berry Gordy, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
