Graham Linehan’s stage adaptation of the classic comedy The Ladykillers will return to the West End this summer for a run at the Vaudeville Theatre. The show will begin previews on June 29, in anticipation of a July 9 opening. No casting has been announced at this time.
Written by Linehan and directed by Sean Foley, The Ladykillers is a darkly comic tale about an old woman who rents out her house to a gang of misfit criminals—posing as amateur musicians—who try to involve her in their heist job.
The play is based on the 1955 British film of the same name starring Alec Guinness, Cecil Parker and Peter Sellers. The original stage production of The Ladykillers opened at the Gielgud Theatre in December 2011 and ran through April 2012. The show earned five Olivier Award nominations including Best New Play and Best Direction.
