What goes up always comes down—especially when it comes to NBC's flailing Broadway soap Smash. The show's ratings bumped up last week, but now they have returned to the basement.
Numbers for the March 19 episode “Musical Chairs” have dipped, according to TV Line. The show fell from its previous week ratings, nabbing 2.65 million viewers and a 0.8 rating share. (For comparison’s sake, last week the show scored 2.9 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.) A mere 50,000 viewers separated this week's episode from its series low of 2.6 million.
It’s the latest news in the increasingly turbulent ride that is Smash’s second season. The show has been scrapped from NBC’s Tuesday schedule; instead, remaining episodes will air on Saturday nights beginning April 6.
At least maybe now we'll be closer to getting Megan Hilty and Jeremy Jordan back on Broadway!
