Sigourney Weaver, David Hyde Pierce and Kristine Nielsen are back on the boards in Christopher Durang’s whimsical comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. When movie star Masha (Weaver) and her hot boy toy Spike (Billy Magnussen) drop in on Masha’s two sad, middle-aged siblings (Pierce and Nielsen), everyone’s lives are thrown into a tailspin. The roaring comedy reaches the height of hilarity as the quartet prepares for a lavish costume party. Broadway.com’s resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson captures Nielsen as Maggie Smith going to the Oscars, Weaver as Snow White, Magnussen as her prince and Pierce as a decidedly unamused dwarf. Also pictured are the show’s two lovable young stars Shalita Grant as psychic maid Cassandra and Genevieve Angelson as appealing ingénue Nina. See how these six colorful characters come together in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, now playing at Broadway's Golden Theatre.
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
