So Long, Superman! Inside the Closing Night Festivities of Encores!' Superhero Musical

Encores! acclaimed production of the comic book satire It’s a Bird…It’s a Plane…It’s Superman flew out of town on March 24. The superhero musical starred Edward Watts as Superman, Jenny Powers as Lois Lane and featured Will Swenson, David Pittu, Adam Monley and Alli Mauzey as the colorful supporting cast. Directed by John Rando and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse, It’s a Bird…It’s a Plane…It’s Superman enjoyed a limited run at New York City Center from March 20 to 24. After the final performance, the cast came together to wish the Man of Steel a fond farewell, and Broadway.com was on hand to capture the super send off.
