Laura Jordan is taking down a serial killer in off-Broadway’s award-winning musical parody Silence! The Musical. Jordan will star as Clarice Starling opposite fellow Broadway veteran Sean McDermott as Hannibal Lecter at the Elektra Theatre beginning April 6. Based on the Oscar-winning film, Silence of the Lambs, Silence! The Musical plays through May 26.
In Silence! The Musical, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, in order to catch the mysterious serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill.
In addition to Jordan and McDermott, Silence! stars David Ayers, Ashlee Dupre, Stephen Hanna, Natalie Joy Johnson, Howard Kaye, Topher Nuccio, Jeffrey Kuhn, Chuck Ragsdale, Ronica V. Reddick and Kimberly Stern.
Jordan appeared on Broadway in the short-lived musicals Cry-Baby and In My Life. Other notable stage credits include the fringe show Perez Hilton Saves the Universe! and Julie Andrews’ musical The Great American Mousical. She has appeared on TV and film in The Big C, Submissions Only, A Gifted Man, Admission, The Jimmy Show and the upcoming film A Case of You.
