The Last Five Years Revival, Starring Adam Kantor and Betsy Wolfe, Opens Off-Broadway

The off-Broadway revival of Jason Robert Brown’s musical The Last Five Years officially opens on April 2. Directed by Brown and starring Adam Kantor and Betsy Wolfe, the production began performances on March 7 at Second Stage. The show has already extended its run twice, and is now scheduled to play through May 12.

The Last Five Years follows two 20-something New Yorkers who fall head over heels in love—and out of it again—over the course of their five-year relationship. Jamie (Kantor), an up-and-coming writer, struggles to balance his rising literary fame with his troubled love life, while Cathy (Wolfe), an aspiring actress, struggles to watch her husband from the sidelines while her own career is stalled.
