Old Hats has extended off-Broadway for a fourth time! Bill Irwin and David Shiner’s acclaimed clown comedy will now play for an additional month through June 9. Old Hats opened on March 4 at the Irene Diamond Stage. Directed by Tina Landau and featuring singer-songwriter Nellie McKay, the Signature Theatre Company engagement was originally set to conclude May 9.
Irwin and Shiner are reuniting in Old Hats, a new work combining their unparalleled magic and slapstick. Featuring music by McKay, as well as technology and movement, the duo creates a wild and remarkable world for a new generation of audiences. Old Hats is the first collaboration for Irwin and Shiner since they starred together in Broadway’s Fool Moon in 1993, 1995 and 1998.
