A bevy of Broadway’s brightest stars are aligning at Carnegie Hall! Stephanie J. Block, Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Nick Adams, Leslie Uggams, Megan Hilty and more have joined the star-studded roster for the New York Pops’ 30th Birthday Gala on April 29. The evening will honor songwriters Frank Loesser (Guys and Dolls) and Julie Styne (Gypsy) and entertainer Danny Kaye (White Christmas).
The evening will also include performances by Will Chase, Max von Essen, Betsy Wolfe, Liz Callaway and Marilyn Maye, as well as previously announced stars Laura Osnes, Rob McClure, Laura Benanti, Donna Murphy, Kelli O’Hara, James Naughton and Anthony Warlow. Paula Zahn, host of PBS’ NYC-ARTS will serve as the evening’s host.
Under the musical direction of Steven Reineke, the New York Pops will also be joined by the Ronald McDonald House Rockin’ the House Band and Chorus, Camp Broadway Kids and the New York Pops Salute to Music Students. The gala concert at Carnegie Hall will be followed by a black tie dinner and dance at the Plaza Hotel.
