Broadway vets Robert Cuccioli and Laila Robins are set to announce the nominees for the 63rd annual Outer Critics Circle Awards on April 22 at the Friars Club in New York City. Nominations will be split into 23 categories—the winner of each category will be announced on May 13. The Outer Critics Circle will hold an awards ceremony on May 23 at Sardi’s Restaurant.
The Outer Critics Circle is an organization of writers covering New York theater—its members are affiliated with more than 90 newspapers, magazines, radio and television stations, Internet and theater publications in America and abroad.
Cuccioli starred in Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark, Les Miserables and Jekyll & Hyde, for which he earned a 1997 Tony nomination. His off-Broadway credits include Dietrich & Chevalier: The Musical, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Temporary Help, And the World Goes ‘Round and The Rothschilds.
Robins has appeared on Broadway in The Real Thing, The Herbal Bed, Frozen and Heartbreak House. Her off-Broadway credits include The Lady From Dubuque, Sorry, Sweet and Sad, That Hopey Changey Thing, That Face, Antony and Cleopatra and the forthcoming production of The Dance of Death.
