Drama Desk-nominated musical theater writer Joe Iconis is calling upon some famous friends for his upcoming concert series at 54 Below. Described as a “mash-up of showtune cabaret and rock and roll jamboree,” Joe Iconis & Family will play the Times Square hotspot April 15, April 20, April 26 and May 5.
The April 15th show will feature a performance by Book of Mormon Tony nominee and The New Normal star Andrew Rannells. The April 20 concert will welcome Tony-nominated and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winning guest performer Jeremy Jordan (who performed Iconis’ original song “Broadway Here I Come” on TV’s Smash). On April 26, Iconis will perform with Godspell favorite Nick Blaemire, and on May 5, he will share the stage with Tony winner Adam Guettel.
Also featured in each of the concerts will be Smash star Krysta Rodriguez, Liz Lark Brown, Katrina Rose Dideriksen, Seth Eliser, Dennis Michael Keefe, MK Lawson, Eric William Morris, Jeremy Morse, Rob Rokicki, Mike Rosengarten, Lance Rubin, Jared Weiss, Jason SweetTooth Williams and more.
Produced by Jennifer Ashley Tepper, Joe Iconis and Family is a big, howling love-letter to passionate musical theater at its best and bloodiest. An evening where searing character studies meet drunken back room sing-alongs.
