The doctor will see you now! Wendy Beckett’s new play Love Therapy, starring two-time Tony Award nominee Alison Fraser, begins performances at off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre on April 20. Directed by Evan Bergman, the show officially opens April 29.
Love Therapy tells the story of a genuine and caring young therapist who gets caught in her own web when a client turns the tables on her and intimacy, attraction and passion collide with the healing process. In addition to Fraser, the play stars David Bishins, Christopher Burns, Margot White and Janet Zarish.
Written expressly for the New York stage, Love Therapy is the fourth in a series of ten of Beckett’s plays brought from Australia to be mounted by Pascal Productions.
Fraser received Tony nominations for her roles as Martha in The Secret Garden and as Josefine in Romance/Romance. Her other Broadway credits include Gypsy, Tartuffe and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Fraser's off-Broadway credits include The Divine Sister, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, Prodigal, Sail Away, The Green Heart and Beehive.
