Good news for fans of The Princess Diary: Backstage at Cinderella with Laura Osnes! The popular video blog is getting an act two and will return after a short intermission. Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominee and video blogger Laura Osnes, Santino Fontana, Greg Hildreth and Herman the Fish will all be back for another season of The Princess Diary after a brief hiatus. The final episode of the first season airs on Broadway.com on April 18.
Highlights from the first eight episodes of The Princess Diary include Osnes’ first dress fittings, all-access opening night video and recording studio session, backstage shenanigans and a revealing tour and, of course, an undercover look into the secret day jobs of Broadway stars.
Directed by Mark Brokaw, the classic fairy tale Cinderella originally aired as a TV special in 1957, starring Oscar winner Julie Andrews. The new production features a completely re-imagined book by Douglas Carter Beane and additional Rodgers and Hammerstein songs originally composed for other R&H musicals. Popular songs include “In My Own Little Corner,” “Ten Minutes Ago,” “A Lovely Night” and “Impossible/It’s Possible.”
Nominated for six 2013 Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards including Favorite Musical Revival and Favorite Actor and Actress in a Musical, Cinderella continues to play at the Broadway Theatre.
