David Byrne and Fatboy Slim’s Here Lies Love Extends for the Second Time at the Public

Before its opening on April 23, the new musical Here Lies Love has announced yet another extension for its limited run. The David Byrne and Fatboy Slim-penned musical will now run through June 2 at the Public Theater.

Directed by Alex Timbers and featuring a dance club score by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim, Here Lies Love is a wholly immersive experience that will put audience members in a 360-degree scenic and video environment. The show tells the story of Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos’ meteoric rise to celebrity and infamy.

The cast features Ruthie Ann Miles, Jose Llana, Conrad Ricamora, Renee Albulario, Melody Butiu, Natalie Cortez, Debralee Daco, Joshua Dela Cruz, Kelvin Moon Loh, Jeigh Madjus, Maria-Christina Oliveras, Trevor Salter and Janelle Velasquez.

The show comes from a concept by Byrne and will boast choreography by Annie-B Parsons and additional music by Tom Gandey and J Pardo.
