Let it go! The current U.K. tour production of The Full Monty will settle down at the Noel Coward Theatre beginning on February 15, 2014.
The U.K.’s Daily Mail reports that The Full Monty will hit the West End following its nationwide tour, which kicked off at the Lyceum in Sheffield on February 18. Directed by Daniel Evans, the play will potentially star Kenny Doughty, Sidney Cole, Kieran O’Brien, Craig Gazey, Roger Morlidge and Simon Rouse reprising their roles from the tour.
Choreographed by Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett, the play will have a brief pre-London run at Cardiff’s New Theatre beginning January 20 and at the Theatre Royal, Bath, beginning February 3.
Based on the 1997 British comedy film, The Full Monty tells the story of a group of unemployed steel workers who take up stripping to pay the bills. A musical version of the movie with music by David Yazbek and a book by Terrence McNally premiered on Broadway in October 2000.
