The 37th annual Olivier Awards, the top honor for London theater, were announced on April 28 at London's Royal Opera House. Hosted by two-time Olivier Award winner Sheridan Smith (Legally Blonde) and Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), the awards featured performances by Smith, Petula Clark, Michael Ball, Tim Minchin, Idina Menzel and Matthew Morrison. The National Theatre's production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time won an outstanding seven Olivier Awards, including Best New Play, equaling the record-breaking number set by Matilda in 2012. Helen Mirren, Michael Ball, Imelda Staunton and Luke Treadaway picked up the evening's top acting honors. The 2013 special awards were presented to choreographer and director Gillian Lynne (Cats) and playwright Michael Frayn (Noises Off). Below is a complete list of winners.
