Jimmy gets fired! Tom and Julia split! Sam does something! The drama on Smash is ramping up as we enter the final five episodes of the sinking musical drama, which will air its two-part finale on Sunday, May 26 (note the swanky Sunday timeslot). So who showed up—at home in their PJs, obvi—for the April 27 episode “The Producers”?
According to Zap2It, this week’s Smash landed the same series low ratings as last week’s episode. With just 1.89 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demo, it looks like Smash’s audience is a small but solid group, with ratings surprises unlikely to happen as the show ends its season run.
But let’s talk about that episode, huh!? In “The Producers,” pretty much every relationship seemed to implode behind the scenes for the feisty folks of Bombshell and Hit List. Tom and Julia ended their partnership, Ivy turned a cold shoulder on Derek, and Kyle finally cut his friendship umbilical cord to Jimmy—right before finding himself staring down a pair of fast-moving headlights in the final moments of the episode.
What’ll happen next? Is Kyle okay? Will Julia and Tom make up? Will Hit List actually get a Broadway transfer? We assume roughly 1.89 million of you will find out next week!
