I was just like ‘Cool, it’s not gonna happen,’ like whatever, so I go to bed and I get a phone call at 8 something this morning and it’s Lisa [Goldberg, her publicist]! And I’m like, why is this girl calling me? When they moved [co-star] Kristine [Nielsen to Leading Actress], I thought, ‘Oh, they’re just going to give it to someone else.’ I think when you’re used to hearing no, you expect it: I just expected that this was not going to happen. I mean, listen, there’s Vanessa Williams; I read that shit on Broadway.com. I was just in the ‘Also Possible' category, thank you very much! I was like ‘Yeah, Broadway.com says no, it means no. I’m going out tonight, I’m going to enjoy myself.’”
