“I feel so grateful and so lucky to be an actor, first of all. Being an actor on Broadway is like winning the lotto, and this is like winning the Powerball! I was too nervous to watch the nominations being announced, so I stayed in the bedroom and my fiancé [actor Joe Tapper] watched in the living room. He screamed and came in our room, and we cried for a little bit; it was really magical. My whole life I’ve wanted to sing and dance, and this is the most magical recognition for a singer or dancer. I am so grateful and so proud of our show. And I am so proud of every person that’s a part of our show.”
