Cheyenne Jackson and Alexandra Silber will play Tony and Maria in the San Francisco Symphony’s five-day concert version of West Side Story. The performers will take Davies Symphony Hall from June 26 through July 2, with a recording and subsequent cast album scheduled for later in 2013.
Joining Jackson and Silber are Jessica Vosk as Anita, Kevin Vortman as Riff, Justin Keyes as Action and the San Francisco Symphony and Chorus behind them. The two hour concert is conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas.
While Jackson is known for his Broadway stage work (Finian’s Rainbow, Xanadu, The Performers) the actor’s screen career is also taking off, with appearances in 6 Dance Lessons in 6 Weeks, Behind The Candelabra and The Onion Presents: The News.
