The hit revival of The Last Five Years will live on for years to come in a new cast recording! Starring Betsy Wolfe and Adam Kantor, the recording will be released on Ghostlight Records—an imprint of Sh-K-Boom Records, the label that released the original Last Five Years cast recording in 2002, starring Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott. No release date for the new cast recording has been set.
Directed and composed by Jason Robert Brown, The Last Five Years tells the story of Jamie (Kantor) and Cathy (Wolfe), two twenty-something New Yorkers who fall in love—and out of it again—over the course of five years. Currently playing at off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre, The Last Five Years will play through May 18 after three extensions. The original 2002 album, recorded during the show’s original production at the Minetta Lane Theatre, remains one of Sh-K-Boom’s best-selling albums.
The Last Five Years includes the songs “Still Hurting,” “Shiksa Goddess,” “A Miracle Would Happen,” “A Summer in Ohio,” “I Can Do Better Than That” and “Goodbye Until Tomorrow.”
