The long-in-the-works southern gothic musical Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, written by Stephen King and featuring music by John Mellencamp and T Bone Burnett, will launch a U.S. national tour beginning October 10.
With a blues ‘n’ roots score that hops across decades, Ghost Brothers tells the supernatural story of two sets of brothers in a tiny Mississippi town: the ghosts of Jack and Andy, dead in an apparent murder/suicide, and their nephews Frank and Drake, who may be headed down the same path as their uncles.
The tour kicks off in Bloomington, IN and ends in Grand Rapids, MI, on November 6, marking a strictly Midwest engagement. A cast album of the show will be released on June 4.
