Broadway enjoyed a bump at the box office this week with grosses and capacities rising across the board. The Audience Choice Award, Outer Critics and Drama League-winning musical Kinky Boots was the fiercest new musical in town this week, landing in the top five for both gross and capacity. Meanwhile, the Drama Desk-winning revival of Pippin broke another house record at the Music Box Theatre, where the musical continues to perform to sold-out crowds. This week, Broadway said goodbye to Alec Baldwin, Ben Foster and Tom Sturridge as Orphans played its final performance.
