Missi Pyle, who most recently appeared off-Broadway in Bare, will return to Joe’s Pub for an encore engagement of her solo show Sexy as Hell. Pyle share boozy tales of summer hook-ups on June 15.
Directed by Samantha Jones, Sexy as Hell combines Pyle's hilarious, quirky, ornery and sometimes heartfelt original music with music from her three bands (The Nice Ladies, Smith and Pyle and The Tumbleweeds) for an evening of laughter, tears, booze, stories of love and loss and an intimate look at her most recent slutty summer.
Pyle made her Broadway debut in the comedy Boeing-Boeing in 2008. In 2012, she co-starred in Stafford Arima’s reimagining of the rock musical Bare. Pyle has appeared in the films The Artist, Galaxy Quest, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dodgeball, Bringing Down the House, Big Fish, Along Came Polly, 50 First Dates, Anchorman and Harold and Kumar. Her TV credits include 1600 Penn, Two Broke Girls, Boston Legal, The Sarah Silverman Program, Pushing Daisies and Heroes.
