On Sunday, May 26, Broadway will bid a bittersweet goodbye to the struggling Smash, a should-have-been-great series that, over the course of two seasons, tackled all the hard-hitting subjects that plague the theater industry, things like peanut allergies, dramaturgical betrayals and chorus girls who sing a little too loud.
But we’ll put aside all of Smash’s ridiculous moments as we look ahead to the series finale, which finds our ragtag crew of misfit thespians going head to head at the Tony Awards! At this year’s fictional ceremony, all eyes are on Bombshell and Hit List, but which new show is going to win? The big, brassy tuner about Marilyn Monroe’s relationships with men rise to fame and descent into infamy mommy issues, or the indecipherably plotted pop-rock musical about a singer and a diva (and maybe drugs or something)?
Cast your vote below and tell us which show you think will win the Tony on Smash’s two-hour series finale!
