Broadway and American Idol Alums Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo Tie the Knot

Former American Idol vets and Broadway Hair pair Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo were married at a ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 1, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

THR reports that the afternoon ceremony took place at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard hotel as the couple welcomed around 230 guests including Idol alums Elliott Yamin, Kevin Covais and Michael Johns. The duo wrote their own vows and celebrated their first dance to a song they recorded entitled “Here and Now.”

Young and DeGarmo began dating when the two starred in the most recent Broadway revival of Hair back in 2010. She had previously starred as Penny in Hairspray, while he made his Broadway debut as Kenickie in the 2007 revival of Grease. Young proposed to DeGarmo onstage at the season 11 finale of American Idol.
