The smash Los Angeles comedy It’s Just Sex will swap cities and premiere off-Broadway. The award-winning show about partner-swapping begins performances on June 4 at the Actors' Temple, with an opening night set for June 25. Written by Jeff Gould and directed by Rick Shaw, the play stars Elaine Hendrix (Disney’s The Parent Trap, Joan of Arcadia) and Matt Walton (Burn After Reading, Onion SportsDome).
It’s Just Sex is billed as a thought-provoking and hilarious look at monogamy, infidelity, lust, trust and the boundaries of relationships. With the kids away at camp, three couples get together for an innocent cocktail party. But as the liquor flows, games are played, secrets are revealed, trust is tested, boundaries are broken and reality gets “swapped” for fantasy.
In addition to Hendrix and Walton, the cast features Jackie Debatin (The Office, According To Jim,), Michael Colby Jones (One Life To Live, Guiding Light, As The World Turns), Gina LaPiana (Days Of Our Lives), Salvator Xuereb (Natural Born Killers, Revenge) and Molly Fahey (Fine, Funny and Female).
It’s Just Sex features set and lighting design by Josh Iacovelli, costume design by Molly Maginnis-Tippe and sound design by Paul Bourgeois.
