Lucky Guy star Tom Hanks has lined up a new feature project: the movie adaptation of the Dave Eggers novel A Hologram for The King, according to Deadline.
The film will be adapted by Hanks and Cloud Atlas director Tom Tykwer. Based on Eggers' 2012 novel, King tells the story of a struggling businessman who travels to a thriving Saudi Arabian city for a last attempt at earning money to pay for his daughter’s college tuition and avoid foreclosure.
Next up for Hanks? The title role in Paul Greengrass’s Captain Phillips, due out October 11, and a high-profile role as Walt Disney in Saving Mr. Banks (in theaters December 20).
