Sicilian Sequel My Big Gay Italian Funeral Opens Off-Broadway

The off-Broadway sequel to three-time Emmy winner Anthony J. Wilkin’s wacky comedy My Big Gay Italian Funeral opens at St. Luke’s Theatre on June 16. Sonia Blangiardo directs this funny follow-up to Wilkinson’s hit comedy My Big Gay Italian Wedding, which will run in repertory with Funeral through August.

In My Big Gay Italian Funeral, Wilkinson reprises his role as Anthony, who reunites with his gay brother Peter Pinnunziato (Brian Murphy) at the funeral of their father Joe. Family drama and crazy characters unite when everything that can possibly happen at an Italian wake certainly will!

In addition to Wilkinson and Murphy, Funeral stars Marissa Perry, Brett Douglas, Donna Castellano, Chad Kessler, Debra Toscano, Mustafa Gatollari, Erik Ransom, Liz Gerecitano, Meagan Robar, Beth Dzuricky, Brandon Goins and Marie Fontaine.
