Buyer & Cellar, an outrageous one-man comedy starring Michael Urie, opens June 24 at off-Broadway’s Barrow Street Theatre after a sold-out engagement at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre. The production is written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Stephen Brackett.
The one-man show tells the story of Alex More, a struggling Los Angeles actor who finds himself taking an odd job working in the Malibu basement of a Hollywood mega-star. When the A-lister makes a rare appearance one day, Buyer & Cellar launches into an outrageous look at fame and the price that accompanies it. Buyer & Cellar premiered at the Rattlestick on March 20.
Buyer & Cellar features set design by Andrew Boyce, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Eric Southern and sound design by Stowe Nelson.
