Karen Ziemba (Curtains), Christiane Noll (Chaplin), Carol Woods (One Mo' Time) and Jason Graae (A Grand Night for Singing) will all pay tribute to the late composer Marvin Hamlisch in the world premiere of They’re Playing His Songs, a musical celebration of Hamlisch’s beloved contributions to theater and Hollywood, at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis Village, MA.
The tribute will include video clips and live performances of Hamlisch’s Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Oscar-winning music, including songs from The Way We Were, A Chorus Line, The Sting and The Goodbye Girl.
Academy Award nominee David Zippel conceived and directed the show, which runs June 24 through July 6 at the Cape. The creative team includes choreography by Lorin Latarro (Scandalous), musical direction by Christopher Marlowe and costumes by William Ivey Long (Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella).
