Ahoy Steve Rosen! The Other Josh Cohen co-creator and star replaces original cast member Kevin Del Aguila in the role of Smee in off-Broadway's Peter and the Starcatcher starting July 8, with Del Aguila playing his final performance as Black Stache's sidekick on July 7.
Rosen co-wrote and co-starred in the acclaimed off-Broadway musical The Other Josh Cohen along Starcatcher alum David Rossmer. Rosen appeared on Broadway in Guys and Dolls, The Farnsworth Invention and Spamalot. Del Aguila departs the production to join Alex Timbers’ new musical Love’s Labours Lost.
Peter and the Starcatcher, winner of the 2012 Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite New Play, is an imaginative prequel to the story of Peter Pan. Directed by Timbers and Roger Reese and written by Rick Elice, the play with music features a company of twelve actors playing more than a hundred unforgettable characters, all on a journey to answer the century-old question: How did Peter Pan become The Boy Who Never Grew Up?
Peter and the Starcatcher continues to play off-Broadway at New World Stages.
