Hayley Atwell, Harry Hadden-Paton and More to Fall into a Love Triangle in London's The Pride

Hayley Atwell, Harry Hadden-Paton, Al Weaver and Matthew Horne will lead Alexi Kaye Campbell’s The Pride, the third production directed by Jamie Lloyd for the Trafalgar Transformed season at Trafalgar Studios in London. The play, designed by Soutra Gilmour, will run from August 8 through November 9, with opening night set for August 13.

The Pride is a hilarious and heartbreaking tale about Sylvia (Atwell), Philip (Hadden-Paton) and Oliver (Weaver), who endure a complex love triangle spanning over half a century against a background of changing attitudes towards homosexuality. Horne will round out the cast as The Man/Peter/The Doctor.

The Pride follows Lloyd’s production of The Hothouse, which stars Simon Russell Beale and John Simm and runs through August 3, and Macbeth with James McAvoy, which ran earlier this spring.

Atwell recently appeared on stage in The Faith Machine at the Royal Court, A View from The Bridge at the Duke of York’s Theatre (Olivier nomination) and Major Barbara at the National Theatre. Audiences will also remember her from her breakout role in Captain America — The First Avenger. Hadden-Paton’s stage credits include The Changeling, She Stoops to Conquer, No Naughty Bits, Flarepath and The Prince of Hamburg. Weaver has appeared in Inadmissible Evidence, The Seagull, The House of Games and How to Curse. Horne’s credits include Charley’s Aunt and Entertaining Mr. Sloane at Trafalgar Studios, as well as regular roles on Gavin & Stacey and Bad Education.
