Washington, D.C. received a blast of musical theater during the annual A Capitol Fourth celebration as Megan Hilty, Darren Criss and the cast of Motown the Musical took the stage for a trio of unforgettable performances celebrating the nation’s birth. Hilty led a marching band medley of patriotic standards including “Strike Up the Band” and “God Bless America,” while Criss brought the house down with his high energy version of “Shout!” Not to be outdone, the killer cast of Motown performed a medley of hits from the iconic all-American musical label.
