Lucky Guy star Tom Hanks has proven that he’s a huge box office draw at the movies and on Broadway, and his fans turned out in droves to cheer him on at the play's final performance July 3. Even after Hanks’ departure, Independence Day weekend was an excellent time to see a Broadway show, with all productions open for business during the holiday weekend. Broadway blockbusters The Lion King, Wicked, The Book of Mormon, Kinky Boots and Motown The Musical easily held their slots in the top five, with The Lion King taking the lead and crossing the $2 million mark.
