Murder For Two, a new musical comedy starring Jeff Blumenkrantz and Brett Ryback, begins performances July 10 at off-Broadway’s Second Stage Uptown. Featuring music by Joe Kinosian, lyrics by Kellen Blair and a book by Kinosian and Blair, opening night is set for July 25 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. Scott Schwartz directs.
Mixing classic musical comedy with a dash of Agatha Christie, everyone is a suspect in this house of eccentric characters unfazed by the dead body on the floor. But this whodunit comes with a killer twist: one actor investigates the crime (Ryback), the other plays all 13 suspects (Blumenkrantz), and they both play the piano!
Murder For Two features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Andrea Lauer, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Jill BC DuBoff.
